Rotary die-cutting uses a cylindrical die that rotates against a roller to cut material continuously from a roll — ideal for high-volume production with consistent quality and fast throughput. Flatbed die-cutting uses a flat die pressed against sheet material — better for lower volumes, thicker materials, or complex multi-layer constructions. At Incisee Rotomatic, we offer both, selecting the optimal process based on your material, volume, and tolerance requirements.

MOQ varies by product and die-cut complexity. For standard die-cuts we can accommodate prototype quantities. For OEM production runs, typical MOQs start from 500–1000 pieces depending on material and complexity. Contact us with your specific requirement and we'll advise accordingly.

We accept a wide range of formats including PDF, DWG (AutoCAD), DXF, STEP, IGES, and PNG/JPG for sketches. For best results, provide a 2D drawing with all critical dimensions annotated and material specification. Our engineers are happy to work from a sketch and develop the full drawing with you.

Achievable tolerances depend on material type, thickness, and part geometry. For rigid materials (films, laminates), we typically achieve ±0.1–0.2mm. For compressible materials (foams, rubbers), tolerances are typically ±0.3–0.5mm. Contact our engineering team with your specific requirements for a precise tolerance assessment.

ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) is a microporous membrane material with a unique combination of properties: it is highly hydrophobic (repels liquid water), breathable (allows air and water vapour through), chemically inert, and thermally stable. These properties make it ideal for pressure equalisation vents in electronics, automotive sensors, and medical devices — blocking water/dust ingress while allowing airflow to prevent pressure build-up that could compromise seals or damage components.

Prototype lead times are typically 5–10 working days from drawing approval, depending on die tooling requirements. Production orders typically require 2–4 weeks from purchase order. Expedited timelines can be accommodated for critical needs — please discuss with our team at the enquiry stage.

IATF 16949 is the global quality management standard for the automotive industry, developed by the International Automotive Task Force. It aligns with ISO 9001 but adds stringent requirements for defect prevention, risk management, traceability, and continuous improvement. Being IATF 16949:2016 certified means Incisee Rotomatic has been audited and approved by a third-party registrar to meet these rigorous standards — ensuring that every component we deliver is backed by a certified quality system that global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers demand.

Class 10,000 is a cleanroom classification under the now-withdrawn US Federal Standard 209E, specifying a maximum of 10,000 particles ≥0.5 μm per cubic foot of air. Under the current ISO 14644-1 standard, this corresponds to ISO Class 7, which permits up to 352,000 particles ≥0.5 μm per cubic metre (≈10,000/ft³). In practice, an ISO 7 / Class 10,000 environment is suitable for applications such as electronics assembly, medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, and precision converting — where moderate airborne particle control is needed but the stricter ISO 5 (Class 100) environment is not required. Achieving and maintaining this classification requires HEPA filtration, controlled access (airlocks/gowns), positive pressurisation, and regular particle monitoring.

Technical Glossary

ePTFE

Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene — a microporous membrane material with hydrophobic, breathable, and chemically-inert properties. Used extensively for venting and filtration applications.

VHB Tape

Very High Bond tape — a closed-cell acrylic foam tape by 3M with exceptional adhesive strength. Used in automotive structural bonding, sign mounting, and industrial assembly.

Rotary Die-Cutting

A continuous high-speed cutting process using a cylindrical die rotating against a matching anvil cylinder. Ideal for flexible materials in roll form at high production volumes.

Web Converting

The process of transforming flexible material (paper, film, foam, membrane) from roll stock into finished components through cutting, laminating, slitting, and other operations.

IATF 16949

International Automotive Task Force quality management standard — the global benchmark for automotive supply chain quality, combining ISO 9001 requirements with automotive-specific additions.

TIM (Thermal Interface Material)

Materials placed between heat-generating components and heat sinks to reduce thermal resistance. Includes Thermal Interface Pads, phase-change materials, and thermally-conductive silicone pads.
